Avery 11 mos and one week and a day in St.Michaels

A busy few days! We just got back from OC - and tomorrow were headed off again. Avery and Brenden are doing awsome! We spent the afternoon in St.Michaels yesterday hanging out with some great friends. Brenden always has a blast hanging out with Shella - and it was nice for her to spend some time with Avery. Avery's grown so much since we got together last. Thanks for a fun filled evening with great friends :)

Avery 11 mos and a few days

Soon this awsome picture from the late spring will be hanging in Avery's room as a 20x40 inch canvas - I cant wait to get it ordered. This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Avery as she was sitting one of the bridges at the Patapsco State park. I love how sweet she looks and how her feet are peaking out underneath the layers of her pettiskirt. Hard to believe just a short time ago - she was just learning to sit up - as she was here in this picture. She is getting closer and closer to walking every day. She stood up and let go today for a good 10-15 seconds - her all time record. We got her this little walker toy that she has started to walk behind - very cute! She has also been perfecting her throwing arm lately - she throws everything - toys, clothes, and my most favorite....food - what a mess! Oh - and she is weighing in at 19 pounds 5 ounces!

Tonight - we are off to Football America to get the rest of Brenden's football stuff - cant wait to see him in all his gear! I told him he should be a quarterback - cause he's so cute, but I think he wants to play defense - we shall soon see!

Avery 11 mos, Brenden's toothless mouth!

As promised - here is a picture of Brenden's lost tooth - you can see from the picture - he's is oh so cooperative! - NOT! The other picture is from Brenden's last baseball camp - he started another one today. Then August 10th - football - yikes! It's keeping the summer busy and that seems to be a good thing. He's really enjoying camp - and that makes us all happy. Also - just a side note - Brenden's new word "evidently" - he says it all the time - so cute.

Also another funny story to share. We just got back from the beach - and we dont have a pool at our building - but the one next door does (we have friends in this building) So all week at the beach Brenden wanted to go to the pool and I kept explaining that we dont have one - but he couldnt understand because we had been to the one next door before. So I told him that those people pay for that pool and we dont - so we really cant use it. Well, after some more complaining - I caved in and told him we could try. I sent him over and told him to just walk up and say we forgot our keys and see if someone could let us in. Well...... He walks up and proclaims for all of OC to hear - that "We dont own this pool, but can you let us in to use it" I was stunned - but they let us in anyway to hijack the pool and make one very honest 6 year old very happy!

Avery is starting to let go when standing for a few seconds at a time - maybe 3 or 4. And she has the beginnings of a wave hello. We have even seen her point a handful of times - and if I ask her for a kiss - she eats my face - so cute!!! She slept like crap at the beach - I almost felt like she was a newborn again - one night she was up every 1 1/2-2 hours - so, although I miss the beach - it's great to be home and get her back to her bed - she slept all night last night! Phew!

Oh, and Shella - the crab dress is amazing and we love it and so does everyone else! I actually had the tag and gave it to our friends who wanted to get one! Big hit!

Avery's little mini shoot tonight

So for now looks like Avery is the more cooperative one for pictures. She was so good tonight !

Some breaking news!!!!

So.... breaking news is that Avery had a tooth break through! Thats right folks - our little munchkin has cut a tooth! The above pictures are from Conner's garden and one of Brenden running away from me - so for those of you that think Brenden's cooperative for photos - this is usually what I get - the shreaking, hands in face....no more pictures mom!

Avery 10 1/2 months

Ahhh - so it's been a very busy few days. Avery had her first 4th of July - she slept for half of the fireworks, but woke up just in time for the finale. The biggest news is that we have Avery scheduled for her eye muscle surgery. She had her eval today and as we suspected - we are going to move toward the surgery to correct her "crossed eyes" It's way long and way more complicated than that - but thats the simple version. This likely wont be the only eye surgery she will have - but we are eager to get moving and try to help her eye problem. Her vision is developing equally at this point - so thats great news! More details to come - Im pretty beat and I want to watch my trashy tv - the bachlorette. Brenden's doing awsome - he's in baseball camp this week and so far having a blast!

Avery 10 1/2 mos and Brenden bike ride

We have been spending quite a bit of time outside watching Brenden perfect his bike riding skills - and I must say, he's getting pretty good!  He's getting so big, bike riding, loose tooth -yikes! Avery stood for maybe 4 seconds all by herself a few days ago, she hasnt done it since - but she is trying.  We go for her next eye appt Monday - so I can feel the anxiety building already.  I truly hope they will get her set up for surgery - not that I want her to have surgery, but I would like to get the ball rolling on getting her eyes straightened a little.  I suspect this will be a multiple surgery ordeal over the years to come - which is not something I look forward to.  So, until Monday....... we just keep patching
